The Sig Sauer MCX SPEAR-LT is the third generation of the MCX platform, refining the already-capable MCX design with a lightened handguard, improved barrel profile, and a generation of lessons learned from real-world use. The 11.5-inch 5.56 NATO barrel is cold hammer-forged carbon steel with a 1:7-inch twist, threaded 1/2-28, and suppressor-ready from the factory with a SIG QD-compatible flash hider. The short-stroke gas piston operating system delivers the reliability advantages of a piston design while keeping the weight comparable to a direct-impingement rifle of similar configuration.

This FDE (Flat Dark Earth) configuration is finished in a warm coyote cerakote that holds up to field conditions while maintaining a low-visibility appearance. The folding telescoping stock collapses the overall length to 26.25 inches for storage and transport, then extends for a full shooting position in seconds. Fully ambidextrous controls, the SIG Flat-Blade Match trigger, and a lightweight M-LOK handguard complete the package.
