FN Scar 17S Gen 1 BELGIUM Reciprocating

The FN SCAR 17S is the civilian-legal semi-automatic version of the FN Mk 17, the 7.62x51mm NATO variant of the Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle adopted by U.S. Special Operations Command. The 16.25-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel is free-floated and driven by a short-stroke gas-piston system that keeps propellant gases and carbon out of the receiver, dramatically reducing fouling compared to direct-impingement designs. The folding stock collapses the SCAR 17S to just under 29 inches for transport and storage while deploying to a fully adjustable cheekpiece and length-of-pull configuration in the field.

The upper receiver integrates a full-length MIL-STD 1913 top rail for optic mounting, with additional rail sections at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the rotating-lug polymer handguard for lights and accessories. Fully ambidextrous controls including the charging handle, safety selector, magazine release, and bolt release make the SCAR 17S equally accessible to left- and right-handed shooters. Feeding from FN SCAR 17S magazines and chambered in the full-power 7.62 NATO cartridge, the SCAR 17S provides the ballistics of a battle rifle in a platform engineered for the modern warfighter -- and refined enough for the discriminating civilian shooter.
