FN Tac 3

The FN 15 TAC3 is FN America's premium civilian AR-15, built on the same manufacturing line and to the same exacting standards that FN uses for M4, M16, and M249 production for the U.S. military. The cold hammer-forged 16-inch barrel is produced from FN's proprietary chrome-moly vanadium steel and features a fully chrome-lined bore and chamber, providing exceptional corrosion resistance and service life that mil-spec contractors demand. The mid-length gas system and M16-profile bolt carrier group are sourced from FN's own military production, meaning the TAC3 is functionally a military M4 barrel and BCG in a commercial configuration.

FN redesigned the TAC3's ergonomics substantially over their earlier 15 series, incorporating a more vertical pistol grip, enhanced trigger guard geometry, and an improved selector detent design for better control during extended firing sessions. The 15-inch free-float M-LOK handguard clears the barrel entirely and provides a clean, snag-free profile with abundant attachment points for accessories.
