Daniel Defense DD5 V3

The Daniel Defense DD5 V3 is a purpose-built 7.62x51mm NATO semi-automatic rifle on Daniel Defense's proprietary DD5 platform, offering the precision and firepower of a full-power cartridge in a package that shares the ergonomics and handling characteristics shooters have come to expect from the AR family. The 16-inch cold hammer-forged barrel is chambered in 7.62 NATO with a 1:10-inch twist optimized for the 147-175 grain projectile weights that dominate precision .308 shooting. The four-bolt barrel-to-receiver connection system that Daniel Defense pioneered dramatically increases contact surface area for improved rigidity and zero consistency.

The DD5 V3's adjustable gas block allows the shooter to tune the system for suppressed or unsuppressed operation without additional parts, and the ambidextrous bolt catch, magazine release, and safety selector are standard equipment. The DD5 Rail 15.0 M-LOK handguard provides 15 inches of free-float handguard real estate for bipods, lights, and other accessories. At 8.3 lbs, the DD5 V3 is a serious precision-capable semi-auto that can serve equally as a competition rifle, a designated marksman rifle, or a hunting rifle for large or dangerous game at extended ranges.
