509 Tactical

The FN 509 Tactical is FN Herstal's fully-equipped suppressor- and optics-ready 9mm pistol, built on the battle-proven 509 platform that traces its lineage directly to the U.S. Army's Modular Handgun System trials. The pistol features a 4.5-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel threaded barrel with 1/2"-28 TPI threading that accepts virtually any 9mm suppressor or linear compensator. Suppressor-height Trijicon 3-dot tritium night sights are fitted from the factory, ensuring a usable sight picture whether shooting suppressed or unsuppressed. FN's patented Low-Profile Optics Mounting System provides adapter plates for direct mounting of over ten popular miniature red dot optics with no gunsmithing required.

The 509 Tactical is built around the same cold hammer-forged barrel and double-action striker-fired mechanism that have made the 509 platform a trusted choice across law enforcement and military users globally. Enhanced grip texture covers the front and back straps, and interchangeable backstraps allow the grip to be sized to the shooter's preference. Fully ambidextrous controls including the slide stop lever and magazine release make the 509 Tactical genuinely usable by left-handed shooters without modification. The pistol ships with two magazines, and its MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail accepts virtually any weapon light or laser on the market.
