Type A Regular Rifle

BG Defense builds the Type-A Standard AR-15 in their Grand Rapids, Michigan facility using in-house manufactured barrels and proprietary components. The 16-inch barrel is paired with a mid-length gas system for reduced felt recoil and improved reliability over the more common carbine-length gas system, topped with an M-LOK compatible free-float handguard that keeps weight low while providing mounting options for lights, lasers, and accessories. The Type-A QPQ-coated bolt carrier group is given an R.E.M. (Rapid Engagement Machining) polish for exceptionally smooth cycling.

The complete lower features a Type-A PMC (Precision Machined Component) two-stage trigger for a clean, consistent break, and ambidextrous short-throw selector for rapid fire mode changes. All Type-A rifles receive a hard coat anodized finish before Cerakote is applied, giving the receiver set a durable, corrosion-resistant surface that outlasts standard anodizing alone.
